Pisé
- A type of adobe work in which the adobe mixture is poured between frames
made of poles, interwoven with reeds. Some pisé walls are
three to four feet thick. This wall was used by the Pueblo Indians
in building their famed Casa Grande (Big House), the principal structure
of a large prehistoric ruined pueblo on the Glia River, near Florence,
Arizona.
