Bullboat
- A circular, basket like or tub shaped boat made by Indians for crossing
streams. Willow or other withes were woven into a frame and covered
with rawhide, usually from the buffalo. The seams were closed with
tallow and ashes. These boats were used by the Sioux, Mandan, and
other tribes on the Missouri River.
